In the Netherlands, there were 166 people with the surname Hom as of 2007, up from 124 in 1947.[4]

As of 2018, 29 people in Denmark bore the surname Høm, and two the surname Hom.[5]

According to statistics cited by Patrick Hanks, 17 people on the island of Great Britain and none on the island of Ireland bore the surname Hom in 2011. In 1881 there were four people with the surname in Great Britain.[1]

The 2010 United States Census found 4,863 people with the surname Hom, making it the 6,906th-most-common name in the country.
