The 3rd Narva Infantry Regiment (Russian: 3-й Нарвский пехотный полк) was an infantry regiment of the Imperial Russian Army from 1703 to 1914, which was attached to the 1st Infantry Division[1] in 1833 as a second brigade.

History edit

The regiment was formed on December 6, 1703, and it was named after General Field Marshal Prince Mikhail Mikhailovich Golitsyn.[2]

During World War 1, it was a part of the 13th Army Corps[2] in the East Prussian Operation which perished. In 1918, the regiment was disbanded.

3rd Narva Infantry Regiment has its own regimental holiday on August 6.
