2011-2012 rename

edit

The results of the renaming competition were to be announced at the NRAO's Town Hall at the American Astronomical Society's meeting in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 according to [1] - so what was the result? I can't find it on google! 86.143.70.16 (talk) 21:42, 16 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • It's now the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array, so I think the article needs to be renamed. Also, I've seen it being abbreviated as "JVLA" now in articles, but don't know if that's the new formal abbrevation. anoko_moonlight (talk) 22:16, 18 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Photograph of VLA seen from space

edit

Frankly, I think the satellite photo of the VLA seen from space offers little useful information in it's current form. You can hardly find it on the photo if you don't know where exactly to look. Is there any way way it could be replaced by a slight more zoomed-in photo? Or maybe some form of connotation or like an arrow on the picture could help. Just my two cents.
