Professional Experience

Civilian

Dillon is a licensed Professional Engineer and works for Entergy Nuclear as a project controls supervisor in the New Plant Deployment group.

He is a graduate of the David C. Swalm School of Chemical Engineering at Mississippi State University. He also attended the Bettis Reactor Engineering School on the way to earning a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal Hydraulic Focus) from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Lieutenant Allen is the Executive Officer of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Chattanooga. He also serves as the At-Sea Coordinator for the NAVSEA Reserve Engineering Duty Officer Qualification Program.

A native of Jackson, Mississippi, he enlisted as part of the Nuclear Power Officer Candidate program in 1998. He served his entire commissioned active service at Naval Reactors in Washington, DC, where he oversaw the design, construction, and testing of VIRGINIA (SSN 774), GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78), and the Next Generation Nuclear Cruiser (CGN X) Classes.

He entered the Naval Reserve in 2006 and became the Training Officer for the NAVSEA Command Center prior to serving in his current role as the Executive Officer of the NAVSEA Chattanooga SurgeMain unit.
