Flashman? edit

I like the Flashman novels, and the observations and opinions Fraser attributes to Flashy are generally pretty astute -- but still, we can surely do better for considered opinions of Elphinstone's character and (lack of) ability than a novel? Fraser himself notes as good sources for the war Gen. Mackenzie's book, Storms and Sunshine of a Soldier's Life and Kaye's History of the War in Afghanistan. --Michael K Smith^Talk 23:34, 13 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
