Mr. Yemetz was certainly influential in the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus and the Kiev Bandurist Capella. However, the sense seems to have been reversed, since Mr. Yemetz wasn't the person being guided and supported but rather the person doing the guiding and supporting. Perhaps members of the two groups were his protégés? Perhaps the sources indicate that he guided and supported the two groups?
