Two questions
- I am thinking about writing an essay about Wikipedia vigilantism. How does one go about starting an essay? Are there essay mentors or collaborators?
- Is there a system for grading or rating essays? There is one in particular that I think is, in a word, awful.

- @Lightbreather: To start an essay just create the page and start writing, either in your own userspace or in the Wikipedia: namespace. Also there currently is an impact scale, but no quality scale, for the reasons cited at Template:Essaysort#Quality Scale. benzband (talk) 10:45, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
