Is this page necessary?

Wouldn't it be easier to keep all of the discussion in one place at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Wikify? Ryan Vesey Review me! 22:24, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

Well, I think that it is a bit much for a newer user to go to the project talk, where the discussions aren't purely focused on the drive. As a general rule, this page isn't very busy anyway, but I do think its good to have a talk page devoted to this drive. Nolelover ^{Talk·Contribs} 16:20, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Extend to September Proposal

What do you think? Is it possible to extend the The August Drive to a two-month effort until the end of September? I think that August is a terrible month for a drive. I will be of little help, but maybe that's just my problem. Cheers. –pjoef (talk • contribs) 09:34, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

I'm sure GOCE will be having a September drive so that might make it difficult. In addition, it is hard for some people to participate in a one month drive, a 2 month drive would probably cause them to lose interest. We would also need to rework all of the awards. While I do agree that we probably won't have the participation we might have in another month, we really just have to stick it out. The GOCE has their drive in September, and like Ryan says, two months is, IMO, just too long. Nolelover ^{Talk·Contribs} 14:31, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
