Academic article on film in Venezuela edit

WP:NCFILMS edit

Just took a look at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (films). Some film articles might need being moved from Spanish to English titles. --Jamez42 (talk) 17:24, 26 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure, see:

Use the title more commonly recognized by English readers; normally this means the title under which it has been released in cinemas or on video in the English-speaking world. [...] If the film has never been widely released in the English-speaking world, it is not assumed to have a commonly-recognized English name; in such cases, the native name is to be preferred over potentially variant translated titles used in English-language reliable sources. [...] If the film was released in the English-speaking world under its native title, use that throughout the article, but include an English translation in brackets after the first use. Do not put the English title in bold, as this is not an 'official' title.

The question is: how many Venezuelan films were widely released in the rest of the world, and if they were, did they use an English title? Kingsif (talk) 18:11, 26 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Of course, in many cases it's difficult to know for certain about official English titles. I'll leave the policy here just in case. --Jamez42 (talk) 19:22, 26 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yes - I just made Macu, The Policeman's Woman with four titles in bold! Kingsif (talk) 23:30, 26 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
