Gladiolus Amicitia merger

Gladiolus AmicitiaCharacters of Final Fantasy XV (discuss) --The1337gamer (talk) 09:07, 5 March 2017 (UTC)

FFVII now FAC

After looking through the article, I've taken the step. Final Fantasy VII has been nominated as an FAC, potentially culminating a colossal collaborative effort to bring the article back from the brink. Anyone who wants to leave comments and either support or oppose this nomination, please do so. To have this article FA before the end of the year would be the ideal ending to this project. --ProtoDrake (talk) 17:40, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

Aerith and Sephiroth's themes

Shouldn't the musical sections of the characters of Aerith and Sephiroth be simply moved to Music of Final Fantasy VII? By the way, Polygon shared the making of Sephiroth's theme. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 14:59, 17 April 2017 (UTC)

Is this notable

Some years ago, a lot of manga authors from Shueisha did their takes of the Final Fantasy protagonists. Apparently, it was before XIII was released considering they didn't do it. I found it here. Do you guys find it notable to include in the characters' articles? I can't find the original source though. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 17:37, 7 May 2017 (UTC)

I don't think so; it's basically just fanart that happens to have been done by professionals, and non-free besides. The character articles are pretty full up on the official concept art/game art as it is, so it'd be hard to justify adding non-free non-official fanart versions, no matter the quality. --PresN 18:47, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
I didn't think about uploading the images but just mention them.Tintor2 (talk) 18:56, 7 May 2017 (UTC)

Popular pages report

We – Community Tech – are happy to announce that the Popular pages bot is back up-and-running (after a one year hiatus)! You're receiving this message because your WikiProject or task force is signed up to receive the popular pages report. Every month, Community Tech bot will post at Wikipedia:WikiProject Square Enix/archive/18/Popular pages with a list of the most-viewed pages over the previous month that are within the scope of WikiProject Square Enix.

We've made some enhancements to the original report. Here's what's new:

  • The pageview data includes both desktop and mobile data.
  • The report will include a link to the pageviews tool for each article, to dig deeper into any surprises or anomalies.
  • The report will include the total pageviews for the entire project (including redirects).

We're grateful to Mr.Z-man for his original Mr.Z-bot, and we wish his bot a happy robot retirement. Just as before, we hope the popular pages reports will aid you in understanding the reach of WikiProject Square Enix, and what articles may be deserving of more attention. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at m:User talk:Community Tech bot.

Warm regards, the Community Tech Team 17:16, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

VII Victory Pose In Order!

@TarkusAB, GamerPro64, Masem, Tintor2, Jaguar, Sergecross73, Deckiller, and Brayden96: After all these weeks/months of dedicated work, it's happened! Final Fantasy VII has been officially promoted to a Featured Article! *FFVII Victory Fanfare* I think we can all pat ourselves on the back for bringing this project to this point in one of the best collaborative efforts I've seen for any video game article to date. --ProtoDrake (talk) 19:10, 29 May 2017 (UTC)

Drive to Majority FA/FL/GA - 5 Left!

Hello, it’s Judgesurreal777 back again, and I think it would be a great time to get the last Good articles we need to become the first major wikiproject ever to have a majority of certified quality content! Here are my thoughts on potential candidates:

Here are also some other B class articles in a high level of completion:

We Are so Super Close to Making History, Let’s do it! Judgesurreal777 (talk) 00:56, 3 July 2017 (UTC)

I made Characters of the Final Fantasy IV series some years ago but I still detect a bit of cruft (still, I never got to play IV's sequel so I have no idea about it).Tintor2 (talk) 20:56, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
I spent some time finishing up the sections of Heavensward I had left unwritten because it wasn't out yet. I believe it is content-complete and needs another set of eyes on the prose before going to GAN. In particular, I think the Plot section is long, but also the story in an MMO is just friggin' long, so I'd like opinions on what stuff can be cut, elided, or simplified while still being understandable. I already neglected to mention a good number of characters completely so I hope it still makes sense. Axem Titanium (talk) 02:38, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Kingdom Hearts III discussion

There is an ongoing discussion in Talk:Kingdom Hearts III#Why is the distribution credit for DCPI removed? in regards to the credits. Please join in to reach an agreement. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 15:53, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Listing Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough at the Star-crossed article

Hi, all. Opinions are needed on the following matter: Talk:Star-crossed#TheJaff's repeated deletion of Cloud/Aerith. A permalink for it is here. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:21, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

Squall image

Considering the FFVIII image of Squall Leonhart only shows his face, I uploaded Nomura's design of Dissidia since it has a shot of his entire body as well as the Gunblade sword discussed in the creation section. Still, I don't know if the quality of the image is good so feel free to change it if you want. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:55, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Final Fantasy VII: An Oral History - Book

Remember that massive feature Polygon came out with last January about Final Fantasy VII? Tons of interviews, illustrations, etc? Well, they've licensed it off to Read-Only Memory to turn into a book, with a few added interviews and new artwork. ROM has launched a kickstarter for it, by which I mean that it's well passed the goal already, 3 days in. It's due in May 2018; I'm getting a copy, so whenever it appears I'll make a post about the interviews that are book-only. Just thought others might be interested as well. --PresN 20:31, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

I wonder if it has a recollection on how exactly they created Cloud. The article comments how Cloud was carefully designed to the game's protagonist but the source might not be reliable.Tintor2 (talk) 21:27, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
