Music of Russia

I see there are lots of links to "Music of ..." articles that come from Wikipedia:WikiProject World music. As they intend to create (some of) these, would it be a good idea to also link there from the relevant federal subjects? I think a "See also:" in the Culture section would be a good place. --Nikai 11:40, 4 May 2005 (UTC)

Hi, Nikai! Actually, I used to put them in the "Related articles" section (see, for example, Adygeya or Komi Republic). I think that the "Culture" section is a good place for them, but only if there is something else in that section besides a link (a lone link is probably better of in the Links section). So far most of the "Culture" sections in the articles that our WikiProject already covered are pretty much empty.—Ëzhiki (erinaceus amurensis) 15:18, May 4, 2005 (UTC)
Agreed, that means the Culture sections need some content :) How do you like Udmurtia#Culture, for a start? The idea is to give a little overview, including: Theatres, philharmonic orchestra -> Tchaikovsky Museum -> See also: Music of Udmurtia. Well, should this cultural content grow considerably, music related cultural content would probably need an own subsection, but then it might be better to have an own article "Culture of Udmurtia" anyway. --Nikai 16:07, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
Yes, I like what you did. It's a very good start. I'm glad you enjoy adding that kind of information (well, I so presume), because I certainly do not :) (which was the main reason why the "Culture" sections in the articles on Russian federal subjects are empty). I guess I am a very uncultured individual because theaters, folk music, museums, and other culture-related things more often than not manage to only solicit huge yawns for me :) Doesn't mean this information is not important, of course. Again, thanks!—Ëzhiki (erinaceus amurensis) 16:52, May 4, 2005 (UTC)
