Page instructions edit

While the emeritus nom explains the current !voting in italics, the voting instructions do not so illuminate. Perhaps there might be a note or a few words above? Nobody supports the nomination more than I, but good order is this project's hallmark. BusterD (talk) 13:39, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Buster, I've added a sentence explaining this to the instructions - does this resolve your concern? Hog Farm Talk 15:35, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Hate to nitpick. If I missed it on the first pass (with only a single candidate at the time), others might as well. BusterD (talk) 17:51, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

2024 Co0rdinator Notice on Project Main Page? edit

I assume members of the project were notified of the coordinator nominations and election on their talk pages as I was. It seems to me that additional notice, such as a brief explanation and a link on the main page, might help publicize this. It also would provide a way to find the page without having to drop back to one's talk page for the link. Perhaps a notice and link is not needed here or I have missed it. FWIW. Donner, in the past couple of years, I had sent out a second talk page notice reminding when the election had begun. Something had also been cross-posted to WT:MILHIST and to the wikiproject announcements banner. I never did get around to the sending the second notice for the election starting, and I don't know that the cross-posting and announcements banner inclusion ever occurred. Looks like it just got forgotten this year. Hog Farm Talk 20:50, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
How is a talk page announcement done? I can add it to the procedure. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 03:28, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
