American English edit
I haven't seen it to be an issue so much in the pages we work on, though see it often in general, but would it be fair to state that American English should be the standard for articles pertaining to Buckethead? - Yeah, since about all Buckethead related artists are from the US or at least living there this makes sense. Please have a look on it, because I learned British English at school, not American English (my teachers would have thrown chalk at me...) and possibly won't mind some small differences. Autumn and fall are interchangeable, both fair game! Here though, check out this page to see some of what I mean: American and British English spelling differences. Mostly you see minor irregularities, where you'll have "-ise"/"-ize" mixed in a page. I see the word "realise" quite a bit, but for consistency purposes it'd be more proper to use "realize" in an American English page. Likewise with "-our"/"-or", and "-re"/"-er", like colour v. color and fibre v. fiber. Minor stuff really, and most times I prefer the British style, but consistency and clarity is desirable. ---D--- (talk) 09:53, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I understand you, my example was not good at all. I never would write "color" I guess (remember my techers?), and certainly do mix up "-ise" and "-ize" quite often. I prefer "-ise" in articles and switch to "-ize" in chat (looks cooler?). Anyway, I will have a look and try to write more in AE in the future. If you see me doing certain mistakes again and again just give me a shout - but I'll also see your corrections.--Avant-garde a clue-hexaChord2 18:04, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
