The dual use of Wikiproject Football and Women's Sports banners is adding to the Unassessed articles number

I've been recently trying to assess some articles in the WoSo category, but I've found that instead of assessing articles that have never been given a look (as is intended), I am instead copying and pasting an article's class and importance from a banner for WikiProject Football to the accompanying WikiProject Women's sport banner. An example would be the current page for 1987 European Competition for Women's Football. It is listed as a Stub article of low importance for the Football project, a Start article for Norway's project, and finally listed as ??? for Women's Sports thus making it show up as an unassessed article for this project when of course that is not the case.

I'm not sure when the choice was made to start having the taskforce listed under both banners, but it is fudging the numbers a bit. Not sure what the solution is, but just throwing this out there! Christiangamer7 (talk) 06:57, 11 September 2017 (UTC)

For different projects there can be different level assessments though, no? You yourself mentioned an article which is different levels on different projects (Football/Norway). --SuperJew (talk) 07:00, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
While that is true, it seems to mess with the taskforce's categorization of these articles for the rating and importance when it varies between the two projects/banners. Just trying to shed light on it, I think it's a waste of time to work to "assess" articles that turn out to have already been assessed for this taskforce. There are plenty of other ways to contribute if it's a waste of time for you. Thanks for your work. Hmlarson (talk) 05:11, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
Maybe not a waste, but a mismanagement of time if there's a way to auto these edits or ensure that if one banner's assessment is placed the other one follows suit. Christiangamer7 (talk) 21:28, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
