D&D to-do:

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

Images edit

I've added all of the files currently in Category:Image-Class D&D articles to the list. I plan to, sometime soon, start tagging appropriate images with {{D&D}} on their talk page, and I'll add them to the list as I do so. -Drilnoth (talk) 15:19, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's a good plan. I've been thinking a lot lately about how a lot of images are not even a part of the project. BOZ (talk) 15:58, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think that it's unfortunate that we can't put image thumbnails directly in the category, instead of just talk page links (fair-use restrictions). -Drilnoth (talk) 16:08, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've started adding some; I'll probably just work on it whenever I have time (as in, when I'm not trying to revert all of Gavin's tagging). -Drilnoth (talk) 16:33, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
He seems to be quiet at the moment... it's afternoon in UK I think. BOZ (talk) 16:57, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
He's in the UK? Didn't know that. -Drilnoth (talk) 17:32, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yep, it's on his woefully inaccurate user page. ;) BOZ (talk) 17:39, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've added most all of the templates, I think, and tagged all such templates with {{D&D}}. -Drilnoth (talk) 18:04, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Added a ton of additional images; I now have all of the articles in Category:Dungeons & Dragons module covers (but not its subcategories) on the list, and their talk pages have been tagged appropriately. -Drilnoth (talk) 19:27, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deleted articles edit

I agree 100% that deleted articles, pages, and files should be included on the list, but do you really think they should be marked as such? They'd just be redlinks that anyone can see was from an AfD or PROD by clicking on it. -Drilnoth (talk) 21:11, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Greyhawk articles edit

Are all of the newly tagged GH articles on the list? -Drilnoth (talk) 17:20, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

As far as I know, I got them. I'm planning on going through all the D&D cats sooner or later (LONG-term project) and making sure. BOZ (talk) 23:39, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Indeed. VERY long term. It might actually make more sense to do images and redirects first, because categories get updated even less then them (I think). -Drilnoth (talk) 00:01, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
And images and redirects can be harder to find, as well... BOZ (talk) 00:19, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think that images will be easy enough. Redirects... well that's what "What links here" is for. -Drilnoth (talk) 00:24, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
True... but doing that on every page will take some time. ;) Also, you can find redirects by just typing the name into the search bar - if something comes up in the little list window before you hit "go" or enter, then something's there! BOZ (talk) 00:32, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
That would probably be faster, now that you mention it. Besides, I think that Images are more important than Redirects and Categories (which honestly do both get modified about the same amount). -Drilnoth (talk) 00:45, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, redirects and categories don't get modified often, but it seems like a good idea to have them in a single list somewhere, same as images, and since we've been putting them here, might as well have them. :) BOZ (talk) 00:59, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I agree completely; I was simply suggesting an order of priorities. My only concern now is that the page might get to big and we'd need to split it into two separate watchlists! (and also, I just added a bunch of Dragonlance images)-Drilnoth (talk) 01:06, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I could see ultimately splitting off categories and images into a separate watchlist, since after all they don't get changed very often... checking the list every other day or so should be sufficient since the list of changes won't be long. BOZ (talk) 01:34, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

-removed indent-That would make sense, although I think that for now we should keep it in the one and split it if it becomes to large. -Drilnoth (talk) 02:08, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Redirects edit

I guess that as I was adding {{D&D}} to redirect pages, you were adding them to the list. And I was too! There was an edit conflict and I've replaced your last two edits with mine, but I think that the current version includes all of the links that were also added in your edits. As a general rule, I'll be adding stuff that I tag to the watchlist, so you don't need to also. -Drilnoth (talk) 23:06, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

LOL! Just trying to help. :P BOZ (talk) 23:39, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I know; I'm just letting you know. Pages I tag I will add to the list; I typically just have the list open in a separate tab and add to it as I am tagging, only saving at the end. I can't speak for other users, though. -Drilnoth (talk) 00:00, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
There's a gold mine of untagged redirects here. -Drilnoth (talk) 14:57, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

NA-class edit

I've now defined NA-class as being "deleted articles" for the project's purposes; all of the other NA-class articles have more specific classes, like Portal, Project, Disambiguation, Image, etc. If anyone thinks that that is a bad definition, please feel free to change it. -Drilnoth (talk) 02:28, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

New Image Tactic edit

I'm changing how I find and add images to the watchlist. I'm going to start by trying to find and tag all of the applicable images, then I'll look in Category:Image-Class D&D articles and add them all to the list. -Drilnoth (talk) 19:12, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Seems a Dark Sun image just went down, but there is another, however I don't know where exactly it would be added. Image:Dark sun logo.png shadzar-talk 09:57, 12 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
