Initial stub edit

I've put out some initial proposals, intended primarily to codify existing practice. Matchups 02:11, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Names of individuals whose name has changed edit

This quesation applies primarily to women upon marriage or remarriage.

But we say that Sally Sowter, not Sally Brock, won the blah-blah thirty years ago. Right? The WBF/EBL database seems to be inconsistent. That is no surprise. Presumably they begin with one name for every person(ID) and gradually assign multiple names to some persons. [unsigned comment by User:P64]

Capitalization of names of articles about a convention edit

There is currently some inconsistency in the naming of articles on conventions and the use of capitalization of the convention's common name in the article itself. For example Unusual notrump uses 'unusual notrump' in the article. I propose that capitalization should be consistent but seek input on what the article naming style for bridge conventions ought to be. To continue with the example, should the article be 'Unusual Notrump' and useage inside the article also be 'Unusual Notrump'? While use of emphasis like caps, italics, underlining and bolding are generally overused IMHO, I propose that convention names ought to be capitalized and used consistently. Any views or comments?
