Inactive Participants edit

A lot of participants listed here aren't really active anymore. I don't want to be rude an remove people from the list, but I think we need a rough way to keep track of who still edits, at least occasionally. Any ideas how we could do that? Pcap ping 23:43, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is a problem many WikiProjects seem to have; membership lists grow without bounds. How about this idea; put a notice on the talk page of everyone listed saying that you are verifying whether they still want to be a member and that they will be removed from the membership list if they don't respond affirmatively withing 12 months. This seems like a reasonable compromize between no checking at all and pulling the trigger too soon. Comments? Guy Macon (talk) 21:53, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
I moved the inactive participants to a separate table. Hope it helps. Pintoch (talk) 22:38, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Layout Restructuring Request for the Participants Page edit

I could not understand why the page 'WikiProject Computer science/Participants' has an empty section titled 'WikiProject Computer science' then another section titled 'WikiProject Programming languages', and then a list of Active and Inactive Participants ending with a table of unclassified participants. I suggest either participants be listed all under one table or under as bullets as 'Just Participants' not segregated as Active or Inactive. Plus a template for the WikiProject (if any exists), too must be linked here as a sample.
