I'd like to second the recommendation in the article to move this closer to more densely-populated areas. When it comes to urbanized areas in Florida sorted by population, Saint Augustine is significantly further down the list than Orlando, Talahassee, Gainsville, Daytona Beach, etc. Personally, I think Kissimmee/Orlando would be ideal, with access to a number of highways and major population centers. It's about 2 hours from Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Palm Bay/Melbourne, and, of course, it provides easy access from Orlando. This ignores the largest population center by far, Miami, only reducing their travel time from five hours to four. However, I think a seperate South Florida Wiknic would be a better option than attempting to accomodate all of Florida. Gophergun (talk) 12:47, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

One of the topics of discussion will be scheduling another meet up in Florida in August. I'm very happy to travel to another area if someone wants to schedule it. We can talk about a date and location for it at the Wiknic. FloNight♥♥♥♥ 21:34, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

Some observations: Meet-ups in Florida have not drawn large crowds, at least in the past 5 or 6 years (there were some meet-ups in St. Pete early on that may have drawn more people). The first meet-up in Miami had 2 attendees, the second had 3 or 4 (and I drove down from Palm Beach County for both), the third was cancelled. The one in Gainesville 4 years ago had 4 or 5. The size of the city where the meetup was held hasn't had any correlation with the size of the turnout. -- Donald Albury 14:09, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Out of curiosity, how many ended up coming out to this? I doubt that St. Augustine's size would hurt it, it's only 40 minutes from Jacksonville, where I and several other active contributors are located.
