Collections-based use of Mbabel edit

Perhaps we should have another tab for the first use-case we had for Mbabel, collections-based tables with Listeria, i.e. Wikipedia:GLAM/Metropolitan Museum of Art/Artworks. These would also usually not be in a personal sandbox with a QID title, but in draft namespace with a subject-based title and categorization so that they can be found and edited, and if appropriate, moved to publish by more experienced editors. There are probably also some other sets based on colections we could do, both artwork-like stuff, but maybe also sets of biographies, that could be explained together there.--Pharos (talk) 19:58, 23 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

How about generating wikitables? edit

This is amazing -- is it possible to have a variation that generates/updates a wikitable from a source query? We have plenty of these as well -- see for instance the ~100 COVID-19 templates. – SJ + 22:49, 9 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Templates edit

The templates seem unreadable and unmanagable and should be rewritten using Lua.--GZWDer (talk) 00:23, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Usage Statistics edit

Hi -- are there any statistics around Mbabel usage? I quickly scanned the usual spots but didn't find any associated tags or hashtags. If there isn't any central tracking of usage, I wonder if doing something as simple (?) as updating the Template to append an &summary=%23mbabel parameter to the default link created via Template:Mbabel so that it would be trackable via hashtags. It's an easy change but I don't know if there are other entrypoints to Mbabel or how many other wikis would need to be updated. I'll add the caveat too that I'm not sure if the hashtags would be easily count-able because they'd be added to Draft page edit summaries presumably and not article edit summaries. Thanks! EDIT: also an example of what the above suggestion would do: [1] --Isaac (WMF) (talk) 15:55, 4 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
