I've never seen this happen before: the second template in the lead is overwriting the text on my browswer (Vista). SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:44, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
That is not happening to me with Firefox on Mac OS X. Also, {{Campaignbox India terrorism}} looks like a template that might belong in the article's footer. Gary King (talk) 19:50, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
It's designed as a right-aligned template, adjacent to article text. Sandy, what browser are you in? I'm in Firefox, Vista, 1440x990 resolution. No problems for me. Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 21:02, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
This is happening for me as well. Not a large portion of the text is covered, just a few words. Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 21:43, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Where do you guys propose I move the template to? The "Investigation" section? Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 21:45, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I actually agree with Gary King that it would be better off at the bottom of the article, but that's just my opinion. Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 22:21, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Should it be placed above/below the wikinews template? Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 22:34, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think it should be center aligned and then placed at the very bottom of the page, just like navboxes. The template is used on only 10–20 articles, so updating those should not be a problem. I have never seen a navbox-like template in the body of an article before; it should be a "See also" thing rather than being in the lead and taking attention away. After looking at a few articles containing these types of boxes, though, it looks like they are all like this, but they all have the contents hidden by default, so maybe that is a good idea. Gary King (talk) 23:04, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm on another computer now, same thing still. Both are IE7, one is Windows XP, the other is Vista. I've never seen this before. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:46, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
You forgot to mention that Campaignbox India terrorism is based off of {{Campaign}}. This right-aligned template is used on thousands of articles. I could reorganize the links in the template and hopefully that won't obstruct the text. Could I get a screenshot from you, Sandy? Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 00:21, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Only if you can teach me how to do a screenshot :-) Tony tried once, and it didn't take. Ping my talk page. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:09, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Maybe Gimmetrow (talk · contribs) can figure it out? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:12, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Same problem at 2006 Jama Masjid explosions. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:14, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
See {{Campaignbox Second Punic War}}. This is an even longer campaignbox template. Does this obstruct text in any of the articles it is used in? Also, does anyone know how I can make the template be placed in hide mode. Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 00:25, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I can't detect any problems with that one. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:15, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
This fixes it. It's some floating elements silliness that Internet Explorer doesn't play well with. Also, you cannot make the box hide by default; the {{campaign}} template does not have that option. It automatically hides when there are two or more of these templates on the same page. Gary King (talk) 02:33, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Fixed here (last one out can clost the door, turn off the lights, and cap this issue off). SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:46, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oops, I take it back. You can't put a nav template before an infobox, per WP:Accessibility. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:48, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I agree that it shouldn't be in this order, but since we have to play nice with Internet Explorer, the other way is also not an option. This is all we can do beyond either changing the layout by moving the navbox somewhere else, or playing with some CSS in the template, or writing our own template. Gary King (talk) 02:52, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Fixed... Gary King (talk) 02:58, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! There were no issues in other articles because the campaignbox was of the same width as the main infobox. I didn't know we could add a width parameter to this template. Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 03:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
You couldn't add a width parameter to the template. I invented it just now — check my contribs :) Gary King (talk) 03:07, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ah, nice work. :) Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 05:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Whatever the fix was, there's still a problem at 2006 Jama Masjid explosions. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 12:42, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

There isn't much that can be done there. Both the image and the navigation box would need to be the same size, and the only way to do that would to increase the size of the image, which wouldn't look very good. Gary King (talk) 15:02, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
