Interesting, but...

It would be helpful to have much clearer 'Before' and 'After' examples of any problems. TBH: I couldn't follow them. Is there a reason to not use Grammarly on articles?

This essay demonstrates why editors should not use Grammarly on talk pages. Is there a reason why editors should not use it on articles? I've never used Grammarly, but the advertisements make it appear that the user has control of what changes are made, and therefore could be make before pressing the "Publish changes" button. Grammarly isnt that catastrophic if used with caution

I think many people who use it accidentally change programming words. As Grammarly sees that as normal words and highlights them in green like the other ones. Thus causing unaware editors to edit sources instead of normal text. Otherwise its ok to be used. Sunnybuthappy (talk) 09:19, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

This whole essay is over-the-top; there's no problem with using Grammarly when editing. Grammarly, in my understanding, only prompts spelling and grammar suggestions; it does not automatically apply edits or compel users to do so. But as this is just an essay with low pageviews and no teeth, I will not contest it. InfiniteNexus (talk) 22:16, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

I concur with the above comments. I also think using Grammarly for the output text visible in VisualEditor (rather than wikitext) could be harmless. And, it looks like you can pick your ENGVAR in the website. — Frostly (talk) 03:58, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
