It used to work for me edit
It used to work for me, stopped when there was some big wikipedia change a while back. It doesn't work now. How get it to work? Is this just completely broken? Where is Help for this. Why no talk page here. Should there be a pointer to some other Help place? Help.... --Doncram (talk) 23:38, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
- There was no talk page yet, because you're the first to talk about it. If that is an unfamiliar situation for you, perhaps it's because many other unused talk pages have WikiProject information even though no actual talk has occurred. I believe there is a pointer of sorts "to some other Help place" at the bottom, where it says "See User:Shubinator/DYKcheck." Shubinator wrote the script, so he and User:Dr pda are the experts (I haven't used the script lately). Art LaPella (talk) 01:23, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
- My vector.js file change, following instructions here, did not work for me. Checking another user's vector.js file showed my problem: i had copy-pasted all of: Add importScript('User:Shubinator/DYKcheck.js'); //DYKcheck tool from this article, but the first word should not have been included in that. Revised formatting of the instructions in this article slightly to help avoid that occurring for any other editor. Thanks. --Doncram (talk) 18:21, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

2x DYK calculation for BLPs edit
Hi, Shubinator, Dr pda, Art LaPella, and Doncram. Is there any way to upgrade the DYKCheck tool so it will check for 2x expansions of BLP articles that previously lacked citations? Maybe two results could be generated: 5x and 2x. 2x uncited BLP is one of the avenues to a DYK (did you know) review nomination qualification.

Change to Highlighting edit
I suggest that the highlighting for the phrase "Article is classified as a stub" be changed from yellow to pink. Typically, factors that would prevent an article from being DYK-eligible are highlighted in pink, so it does not make much sense that this factor is highlighted in yellow, and may cause some confusion.
