First line edit

It begins with an explanation; I'd rather start out with a strong directive, followed by the explanation. For example, Ignore headlines when you write an article. Headlines are often written... or Do not base any article content on a headline. Headlines are often written.... Schazjmd (talk) 01:01, 21 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Title edit

To me the title reads more like a shortcut than like the name of a thing. Perhaps "A headline is not a reliable source" works as a name? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 09:50, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I’m open to the change but I only edit on a phone; so please feel free to make the change and move. I can’t do the move. Gleeanon409 (talk) 13:40, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Done, will add the shortcut thingy in a sec. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 14:19, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

RfC on reliability of headlines edit

There is an RfC on whether the reliable sources guideline should state that headlines are unreliable. If you are interested, please see Wikipedia:Village pump (policy) § RfC: Reliability of headlines. — Newslinger talk 01:36, 10 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
