Headings edit

For those of us who use numbered headings (in preferences), we get the number before the star on Best of Wikipedia, and the number after the image elsewhere. This, that and the other [talk] 09:47, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think I understand, the remedy is to swap headers <h3> with just larger fonts. ChyranandChloe (talk) 04:32, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Best of Wikipedia edit

The "Best of Wikipedia" title seems somewhat awkward. I feel that this: the title attracts too much attention to itself, has negative implications to create hubris, can be used negatively seeing that everything else is much worse, can be used negatively in WP:NPOV issues. I think simply "Featured" holds as the best option. See Variation 1. ChyranandChloe (talk) 03:41, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Aesthetics edit

This one would be the best if it had the professional looks of Proposal 1. Could someone make a variant of this one with the aesthetics of Proposal 1? -- penubag  (talk) 07:35, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Problem with Today's featured picture edit

The picture extends to the far left of the page, going under the language box.--Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 06:17, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Seems messy edit

This seems very messy, not counting the "welcome to Wikipedia", it seems to use 3 or 4 different font sizes and has strange line spacing in the featured article that really doesn't match anything else. Is there any logic as to why some sections have bigger font than others? Also, the background image on the "welcome to Wikipedia" part should be toned down a bit, it nearly blends in with the text. The "2,626,402 articles right now, in the English language" is also really awkward. The comma seems random and "right now" seems redundant and is there some other "English" that we might have articles in besides the language that we need to disambiguate it? Just "2,626,402 articles in English" gets the message through much more clearly. Mr.Z-man 17:21, 17 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
