Wikipedia Takes Mumbai is a planned photo scavenger hunt in the spirit of Wikipedia Takes the City to be held in Mumbai. This event is aimed at increasing the coverage of free photographs involving the City of Mumbai so that they can be used in Wikipedia articles which need pictures, as well as promoting awareness of Wikipedia. This event is being held as part of Wikipedia X, a series of events being held throughout the world in commemoration of Wikipedia's tenth anniversary.
We will be visiting a few historic places in South Mumbai and will take photographs of them. These photographs will be uploaded to the Wikimedia commons on January 15th.
