User:Everyking has frequently found conflicts on WP:AN/I, where he criticizes other admins for rash or overly punitive decisions. Many find these criticisms to be targeted more at the admins than at the decisions, and accuse Everyking of simply following up on personal grudges.

Let me start by saying that Everyking's edits to the article namespace are exceptional - he's one of our best content editors, and I thank him for that. I'd also like to note that I am very pleasantly surprised by how much he's moderated his conduct on Ashlee Simpson articles - I'll admit I was one of the naysayers about letting him back on the articles, and from what I've seen I was wrong about that.

But I think Everyking's conduct in terms of criticizing other administrators is extremely unhelpful. I don't mean to dismiss Everyking's complaints - they may well be valid, including the ones about me. But I think that Everyking's position of a critic who doesn't really contribute to the solutions makes for an adversarial climate that exacerbates many of the problems he criticizes. When one knows one is going to come under fire no matter what one does, one is less likely to think through one's options.

I encourage Everyking to take a more active role in dispute resolution. He could help out at WP:TINMC, or make an effort to head off some of the disruptive users and see if he can help talk some sense into them before an admin comes along with a more forcible cluestick. Everyking clearly has a lot of passion about this aspect of Wikipedia - I think he could be a great benefit to the project if he were to extend his passion beyond criticism and into trying to enact some of the changes he wants to see.
