Students are typically asked to translate a scholarly article into a new genre and also to identify a scholarly conversation about a topic pertaining to writing studies and write that up as a conversation. The conversation assignment lends itself to a wikipedia assignment because it is heavily referenced and because it should be written in an unbiased manner.
