This course provides a broad overview of contemporary gender issues in both the US and other contexts. We will study how gender affects various social institutions and interactions. We will also consider how micro-level interactions are influenced by gender, such as personal relationships, sexualities, as well as macro-level issues such as health and violence.
Students will select articles on Wikipedia that they see as needing further development and will contribute to at least article over the course of the semester.
