Course Goals This course is designed to introduce you to information literacy, library services and collections in order to empower your use of library resources for research projects. You will be able to select, search, evaluate and use information sources much more efficiently after completion of this class.

Course Objectives Students that participate in forums and complete all assignments will be able to:

  • Describe issues related to information literacy, including plagiarism, copyright and citing sources
  • Develop college-level research questions
  • Select the best tools and resources to answer research questions
  • Critically evaluate information sources based on their value for college-level research
  • Demonstrate the research process
  • Synthesize resource to create informative article.
