Read or find an article

The Frequently Asked Questions and our about page contain the most commonly sought information about Wikipedia.

There is a search box in the upper-right corner of every page with the word "Search" in it. Just type what you are looking for in there and then press ↵ Enter. There are other ways to browse and explore Wikipedia articles; many can be found at the showcase of articles.

Edit an article

Contributing is easy: see how to edit a page. For a listing of introductions and tutorials, see the resources we have put together to help. On the resources page there are some cheatsheet that can help you with some of the basic wiki markup. One of the great calls is for Wikipedians to be bold in improving articles! When adding facts, please provide references so others can verify them. You can practice editing and experiment in the sandbox.

Create a new article or upload media

Before you write your article, make sure your read the article to guide new editors.

While planning your first article, look at the articles that are similar to the one that you want to create in the article showcase on WikiFundi. You can also learn how to write your first article here. When you are ready, enter the title in the box on the main page and hit the blue button.
