This is a list of who monitored tropical cyclones within each basin and from when. There are a few gaps, from where further research needs to be done to figure out who were official.

WPAC

The WPAC is one of the most complex basins when it comes to warning centers/naming history.

The US

The JTWC was established in 1959(?), with the specific intention to bring together the US Air force and the Us Navy's naming lists. Before this naming was done by the USN and the USAF. The JTWC are still around today, but since January 1, 2000, the JTWC have not named tropical cyclones.

JMA

The JMA have been monitoring the WPAC in various disguises since 1875.
