  • Not really. If you have proof that Hermine dropped X inches of rainfall in Florida on Y date, and you have a source that on Y date that says Z happened, then it could be included.   • There was damage, but it was only marginally related to the precursor to Hermine; I'd be willing to add it to another page but I still feel it would be too broad for this article. –Juliancolton | Talk 20:49, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

    • Tropical Storm Hermine was the eighth tropical cyclone and named storm of the 1998 Atlantic hurricane season. link "tropical cyclone" and "named storm", also try and make an original opening sentence.

    • The wave moved westward across the Atlantic Ocean, and on entering the northwest Caribbean Sea interacted with other weather systems; the resultant system was declared a tropical depression on September 17. Although it's supposed to be a quick summary, it skips too much. There is a time gap and it forms somewhere (the GoM wasn't mentioned) before hitting Louisiana.
    • When did it make landfall in Louisiana?
      • The above two aren't necessary, IMO. The lead is supposed to be an overall summary, not a comprehensive timeline (although I did mention that it formed in the GoM). –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 15:58, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • In some areas, the storm tide prolonged the coastal flooding from a previous storm. What was the previous storm? Was it a tropical cyclone?

    • Add that the name was previously used in 1980
