List of Knight's Cross recipients of the Waffen-SS edit

I'd like feedback on the list. Especially of concern to me is my English (I'm not a native speaker). Secondly, I seek feedback regarding the listing of the "controversial" recipients. I would like to know if it is well understood that not every "so called" recipient is a recipient according to the law. I know that for the list to reach FLC class at least 80% of the red links need to be resolved. Thanks for your help! MisterBee1966 (talk) 14:06, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jim Sweeney edit

I have been watching this article being formed over the last two weeks and it looks very good;

This being the English Wiki I would like to see the regiment/battalion details translated into english but thats only my opinion not a rule.

for example II./SS-Kradschützen-Regiment "Thule" reads better to the non expert as II Battalion, SS Motorcycle Regiment Thule and 1./SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 38 = 1st Company, 38th SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment.

I can see why every rank is wikified but only the first time they are used should they be linked.

A further 46 Knight's Cross, eight Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and four Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords recipients are either lacking the evidence to sustain their listings or received the award under questionable legal terms.   This indicates that historian Veit Scherzer has expressed doubt regarding the veracity and formal correctness of the listing. - These comments also asks the question of why there is some doubt and it may be better to add that they were Dietrich awards etc.

Apart from these points well done Jim Sweeney (talk) 08:18, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
