From the editors

Welcome to the January 2015 edition of the Bugle!

We're pleased to present a bumper first edition of the Bugle for 2015. The edition features three articles: an interview with some of the 2014 Military History Newcomer Award nominees covering their interests and experiences of Wikipedia; an op-ed by TomStar81 on the birth of strategic bombing during World War I; and a review essay in which Nick-D discusses the Australian War Memorial's new permanent World War I exhibition.

Of course, the edition also includes the Bugle's regular features: a round-up of the content promoted to A-Class and Featured status last month, and the book reviews section in which Jonas Vinther discusses a controversial book on Adolph Hitler and Cliftonian reviews a history of the Rhodesia Regiment. TomStar also continues his World War I timeline.

Lastly, the MilHist FA, A-Class, GA and Peer Reviews for October–December 2014 have been tallied. Dank, AustralianRupert and Peacemaker67 headed the list -- you can find everyone's name who contributed reviews here, and we thank all of them for their efforts. Thanks also to Nikkimaria and Peacemaker67 for their help tallying.

We hope that you enjoy this edition. As always, if you have an interest in contributing to future editions of the Bugle please contact either of the editors, or post it directly via the newsroom.

Your editors, Ian Rose (talk) and Nick-D (talk)
