April 21 edit

10:14:53, 21 April 2016 review of submission by Parkot2000 edit

Why was the article rejected? What additional information, references I need to give? and specifically where? How can I add an image on the wiki page and can give information like ISBN number etc below it? What kind of referencing works for a book? Parkot2000 (talk) 10:14, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Declined for the reasons explained on the draft. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:40, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
To add a bit more....User:Parkot2000 figured out how to add an ISBN and more, as demonstrated by this edit. In general you can figure out how to add images and so on by looking in "edit source" mode at another article that has the features you want. Copy-paste and revise for your information. Pictures uploaded to commons.wikimedia.org can be included easily, by including approximately the following (adapt with your photo and caption): [[File:A Great Photo of.jpg|right|thumb|Here's a pic of the place in 2007]]. A reference that is good for an article about a book is a review of the book in a reliable publication that is acceptable as a source in Wikipedia. Even if the book is not included in the National Library of India, if there are good sources about it, the book can be covered in an article. Another option is to include the book in a list of books of the same type; the standard for notability of a list-item varies by list, but can be lower than the standard for notability of a stand-alone article. Hope this helps. --doncram 20:46, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I'm trying to add an image and I'm not sure exactly how to add one to wiki and then use it for a reference later. Thanks a lot for whomever helps :) Thanks! 82.81.214.11 (talk) 10:31, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Declined for the reasons detailed on the draft. To upload an image, click "Upload file" in the navigation pane on the left, under tools. What you mean by "use it for a reference later" is unclear. I can't recall any case in which an image is used as a reference. It is always the underlying object that is the source. For example, the {{cite sign}} template can be used to reference a posted sign. No image of the sign is involved or required. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:19, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I need to rename the article I created for the City of Bath Bach Choir. A while back they renamed themselves to Bath Bach Choir. So I need, I presume, to set up a new page entitled City of Bath Bach Choir which in turn refers to my current CBBC page but using Bath Bach Choir as the subject - and then amend all the names and abbreviations within. I could easily make a hash of this as I am no expert using Wikipedia! Any chance of someone setting this up for me please and then I can edit the article throughout? The editing history etc will then all be preserved in the right place. Many thanks. It's actually far simpler than that. See WP:MOVE. -- Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 11:50, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In principle, I am fine to add the content of my proposed article within the already existing article Industry self-regulation. However, I would prefer to rename the article then to self-regulation. The organizations are not necessarily industry. How do I do this?

Hi 2016HD. See WP:MOVE for how to move a page to a new name. The how-to guide includes instructions for what to do if your account is too new to move a page (it generally must be at least 4 days old and have made at least 10 edits). --Worldbruce (talk) 15:30, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

European Court of Human Rights

Hi, this is partly a test for me, does this interface somehow know which article and so on I am asking about? I found my way here from clicking on a link at notice of rejection of Draft:List of courthouses. It has been reviewed and declined twice, and what is needed IMHO is a reviewer who is more familiar with list-articles (and related guidelines/policies like wp:LISTN and wp:CLT). This is a list-article which would clearly IMHO survive at AFD; it is perhaps an unusual submission at AFC though. I'd appreciate another review. (By the way, I am an experienced editor but use AFC for new articles due to a ban. I hope to be unbanned and to be able to volunteer here at AFC again...i did some volunteering here years ago, so I am also interested in how things work now.) Thanks for considering this! --doncram 20:31, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey guys I just wanted to test my ability on random typos for experimental purposes I'm fairly new at coding but always keen to learn and help out the global wikipedia community as much as I possibly can. I was apart of the Meta but forgot my password and alot of people are using my knowledge to their own advantage I think I'm on to Crypto analysis but thats still something I'm willing to study. I do apologise for the spam and I love research and the simple things in life. I like to exhaust and extract all my anger on machines which to me seem like some of the systems we have today are too powerful to even be controlled anymore. I have deep concerns about the future with technology. You can call me a theorist or just CPT357 AND OR Jay/JMC. 47 XKGZ357 (talk) 22:32, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
