August 8 edit

04:39:51, 8 August 2014 review of submission by Alrich44 edit

I have submitted my first article and was notified that it was approved, that is one reviewer put an okay, green check box on it. However, it is still in draft, so it hasn't moved. So, I'm wondering if it takes more than one approval.

I searched Help. Read the new article pages, and took a couple more runs at searching for the answer. "How many approvals does it take for a new article?" What is the approval process?

...still wondering. I usually hit the live chat Help, but thought I would try this one. Thanks!

It was not accepted previously, and I cannot see in your talk page history, at least easily, where it was notified as accepted. No matter. I have given it a very detailed review today. I am pushing it back to you for what appears to be a good deal of further work, but which I hope you will see as a polish. I am very encouraged by the overall quality of this draft as my final remarks in the review indicate. This is not so much a rejection as a hope for excellence. A couple of my points are gating factors for acceptance in my view, but they are small work to overcome. Fiddle Faddle 06:57, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Timtrent. I guess I used the wrong term. It was reviewed, and the message came on my notifications page. "Draft:Crucible Industries LLC was reviewed by DragonflySixtyseven". Thanks for all the help. Alrich44 (talk) 22:02, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

13:13:51, 8 August 2014 review of submission by Washoe42 edit

I just submitted an draft article for review, but I expected to see some kind of form asking for my intended title. I never actually put a title on it in the sandbox, and I've only edited articles before, not created them. How do I give the article a title? Also, there is a box at the bottom, now that I've submitted, that says "Warning: This page should probably be moved, but a page already exists at Draft:Sandbox." It has an option for me to move it to "Draft Space." Should I do this? I don't really understand the difference between "Draft:Sandbox" and "Draft Space." Thank you in advance for your help! The suffix "/sandbox" (which is case sensitive) is simply one of an infinite number of suffixes that may follow your user name. It would thus be possible to create any number of sandbox pages. User:Washoe42/Flame of Hope (diabetes) would have been a good name choice, because the title Flame of Hope is already taken and is being used as a disambiguation page. As it is, I   Accepted your draft as Flame of Hope (diabetes). I am sure it will stand further improvement, but your role, now, is to act as its father and let it graze its knees, not as its mother and wrap it in warm towels in case it grazes its knees. On to the next draft! Call it what you will. And, even if you just overwrite everything in your sandbox we will find a good name for it when we accept it. Just an additional note that if you want to edit your sandbox (to create a second, different new article there about something else), you would use this link to go there without being redirected to your newly accepted article Flame of Hope (diabetes). Thanks so much, this is all very helpful! One last question - when editing new things in my sandbox, am I safe to delete the "#redirect" in my sandbox, or should I leave it where it is? If I leave it, I can just edit above it, right? Hope these questions make sense... Thanks again :) Washoe42 (talk) 18:14, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Washoe42 - Yes, remove the old redirect when you start something new. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 18:35, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
