Within the editor community, the existence of list- and stub-type name articles has been challenged many times, challenges often mixed with the continuing confusion between dab- and name-type articles. There are many name articles that could be created as stubs or lists. However, the continued "uncontrolled" creation of these articles would appear to only fuel the challenges name-articles have encountered.
A previous attempt to augment one of the "Requested Articles" pages with a "Requested name articles" section ended with the section being deleted by regular editors of that page set.
This page is an attempt to provide space for the collation of "potential article" information with the aim being to provide seed information for new articles and facilitate article birth at a more advanced stage than stub or list. Some editors have consistently created articles at that more advanced stage, while others (me included) have primarily contributed to the problem by creating many list-type articles.
