The result was: "not scheduled". Originally scheduled for March 3, 2022 but removed after community members questioned aspects of the article. Therefore, despite a consensus at the TFA/R to run it, coordinator Wehwalt exercised his discretion to withdraw it and suggest that there be a further TFA/R before it is again scheduled.

Socrates Nelson (January 11, 1814 – May 6, 1867) was an American businessman, politician, and pioneer who served one term as a Minnesota state senator from 1859 to 1861. He was involved in the formation of the Minnesota Territory, having co-authored a successful petition to Congress in 1848. He took part in the creation of the Minnesota Democratic Party, held various posts such as county treasurer, territorial auditor, and county commissioner, and was a member of the University of Minnesota's board of regents before being elected to the senate. As a businessman, he was a general store owner, lumberman, and real estate speculator associated with numerous companies in the insurance and rail industries. He was involved in the early community of Stillwater, Minnesota, being a founding member of the first Independent Order of Odd Fellows lodge in Minnesota as well one of the earliest members of the Minnesota Historical Society. • Most recent similar article(s): The closest thing I can find to a "similar article" is William Lyon Mackenzie, who was also a North American politician who was in office around 1850. He was featured on 28 August 2021.

• Reasons for nomination: I think having such an obscure subject as a TFA would show off the breadth of the project's content. While the date isn't extremely important, I would prefer either March 3 for the founding of the Minnesota Territory or, if that's not feasible, April 11 as an Easter egg for the founding date of the Washington County Historical Society, who took time out of their day to personally answer questions of mine and who actually created some of the citations used in the article. It would be my first FA to appear at TFA (the article is my first FA/GA). It's on a very obscure subject, so it's not vital, and English is currently the subject's only language.
