There are only two games in the series: the rest navigates things like companies that develop or publish lots of games. The two actual germane articles are very easily/thoroughly interlinked and this is not providing value, but taking up pixels on the screen. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 15:13, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I would call this a convenience template, but the only place it seems to be used is in a navbox and a rail line sidebar, where space is not exactly at a premium and full links can be typed out anyway. Recommending subst before deletion. Primefac (talk) 13:03, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. The usage at Template:Hungarian railways is also very poor as the label shown is just a number which is meaningless to most readers. It's also almost all red links so probably should be nominated itself for deletion. Gonnym (talk) 13:19, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Probably not meaningless for Hungarian readers, at least. MAV START foregrounds the line numbers in its public timetables; maybe more so than some companies (see [1]). Mackensen (talk) 11:41, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete VVR is not listed as a Hungarian topic, so the name is obfuscated. hu:vvr also does not exist, so cannot be discerned from that. -- 65.92.244.127 (talk) 05:35, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. This is a translation of a Hungarian template hu:Sablon:Vvr, though again the source of the name is not clear. The name isn't relevant. For me the larger question is whether the numbers of Hungarian railway lines should be foregrounded in the first place. Most European railway systems have these short book numbers; the degree to which they're presented to the public varies. I think they're a little more commonly used in Hungary. Unused; while I can see the point in this template, clearly after almost ten years no one has found it particularly useful, and/or have found better ways to achieve the same result. Slightly obscure acronym as a name as well. Primefac (talk) 12:30, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this template is necessary anymore. World War II has happened so long ago that I think the disruption isn't as bad as present day politics. Interstellarity (talk) 12:05, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment That doesn't seem to be a proper deletion rationale. World War II is still protected, so I think you should ask WP:RFP to full-unprotect the article first, to see if there are any editing problems, before removing th edit notice -- 65.92.244.127 (talk) 05:38, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep serves its purpose well. Not seeing real reason here for the nomination.Moxy-  06:05, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep This edit notice is needed, as this is a very high profile article where there's a longstanding consensus that significant changes are discussed first before being made. As this is unusual, an edit notice is needed to alert editors to this. The deletion rationale doesn't make any sense, and this nomination seems to have been made without understanding why the edit notice is in place. Nick-D (talk) 08:06, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this template is necessary considering it's on the talk page. Interstellarity (talk) 12:02, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment This is meant to be seen by editors, when editing. Many editors do not read the talk page before editing. Usually this should indicate that there is a continuing wP:ENGVAR problem, or has been before the edit notice was enacted. Are you contending that no such problems should occurring with frequency in the future? -- 65.92.244.127 (talk) 05:42, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unused as Template:Attached KML/U.S. Route 80 in Arizona is the file used. Gonnym (talk) 11:37, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads, among others have been gradually phasing out KML files hosted on the enwiki server in favor of GeoJSON files hosted on commons for use in Wikipedia articles. In cases where the relevant Wikipedia articles have been updated to use a GeoJSON file, as happened here, the map is using a GEOJson file, I don't think deleting the old KML file is even controversial. It appears the misspelled version was made deliberately as a test, likely testing the kartographer extension. If so, it is no longer required regardless of if the properly spelled KML version stays.
