Strongly oppose – this template is used to provide text in the article, either inline or as a separate paragraph. This is quite a different function from the authority control template. Most importantly, it adds a reference; information like this should always be sourced. Wikidata is not an acceptable source for information in Wikipedia. Oppose - a powerful template that adds botanical authority text to a biography and adds an IPNI citation to references. The template itself is very compact. Oppose : The wording of the template is clumsy and the use of a border gives it undue weight. The parameter 'border=0' takes care of the frame, but still places it on its own line - it needs to be changed to inline. If these changes are made I will gladly support retaining it. It was used at the time of creation in 2000+ articles which were sourced to that site but otherwise often incorrect, duplicates, ... and which were eventually mass-deleted. The template was used to a) indicate the problem, and b) facilitate mass-tagging of the articles for deletion (instead of tagging all of them, I changed the template to include an AfD message on all articles where the template was added[1]. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Geographic.org. Anyway, the template now no longer serve sa purpose, and we don't usually keep templates as "historical", I think, so if that's the case, it can be deleted. Delete. The point of these templates is that the article is changing rapidly because the story is so fast-developing that editors are literally swarming the article to get it updated, so that the article could be very different the moment you hit "refresh" after reading it once. Things like 9/11 and bridge collapses and public shootings. Television plots advancing normally, as television plots do, is nowhere near that realm of swarm-inducingness.
