Template:Nn-warn-deletion (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

It is not necessary to notify users that their article has been deleted, only that their article has been nominated for deletion. Also, A7 is for deleting articles that do not credibly claim the significance of the subject, which is a much lower standard than notability. This template says the wrong thing (i.e. that the article has been deleted because the subject is not notable). TL22 (talk) 15:17, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also nominating the following templates for deletion as they are similar:
Template:Bio-warn-deletion (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Template:Empty-warn-deletion (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Template:Nonsense-warn-deletion (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Template:Nothanks-warn-deletion (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Template:Spam-warn-deletion (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Template:Test-warn-deletion (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

  • Keep These templates are used frequently. An admin does not have to nominate an article for speedy deletion, since the admin toolset includes the "delete" function. So when an admin finds a page that warrants speedy deletion, the page can be deleted immediately, and then these templates can be used to advise the page creator of what has happened. And the current wording of {{nn-warn-deletion}} is "did not indicate how or why the subject is notable" (emphasis added), which closely matches the A7 criterion. -- John of Reading (talk) 18:18, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, for use by admins and because extra communication (even if optional) is always a good thing. On occasion, I've also seen CSD work incredibly quickly — if, by the time I arrive at the user's talk page, I see that the page has already been deleted, this seems like a more relevant template to use (I wouldn't want to confuse anyone with irrelevant instructions i.e. the second paragraph of {{Db-notability-notice}}). I would support rewording of {{Nn-warn-deletion}} to replace the first use of "notable" with "significant" and "notability" with "importance" (terms used in WP:A7). But the latter two uses of "notable" are used in the context of recreating the pages, so they are correct. — Bilorv(talk)(c)(e) 07:59, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - I do think it's pointless telling editors that there article's been deleted but at the end of the day admins are still using the template so thus it's serving a purpose atleast for now anyway. –Davey2010Talk 22:35, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Redundant to {{Islands of Adventure}}. Links included here are all section links to articles included therein. Rob Sinden (talk) 12:08, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge. No point in separate templates, per nom, but the layout of the former attractions template is significantly better than that of {{Islands of Adventure}}. Or better yet, since there are just a few links, just do a single line without chopping it up into sections by their physical location at the park. Nyttend (talk) 14:27, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
