The reason given for this page being uncontroversially deleted was that it didn't meet the general notability guideline. That sounds kind of negative, but I would like to see the page. From what I have to go on, which is not much, I think it is quite possible that the G12 justification was not fair. This has to do with judgment of the deleting administrator, who made copyright-related judgments around that time which I and others disagreed with, including at least one overturned at deletion review, and if I recall correctly also a case in which the person refused to provide a copy of a deleted page which later turned out to have been fine. It is also possible that this deletion was fair, but I can't tell, not being able to see the page. Could someone provide the page to my userspace to review, please? I am capable of fixing something or of requesting its deletion if it is really so bad. Or could someone please email it to me, if that is somehow better. --doncram 00:40, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
We won't restore articles that have been deleted as copyright violations. If you believe this was a gray area, you will have to take this up with the deleting administrator, Nyttend. According to the deletion rationale, the copyright violation was unambiguous because it was obvious that the content was taken from another source with only superficial paraphrasing. 17:23, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

I don't know who requested the delete and for what reason. But it seems very odd to me since we're dealing with a season of the highest amateur league at that time.   •   Done This is a little odd - the page was blanked by someone (not the creator) who didn't think it met the notability guidelines, and then shortly afterwards an IP added a template requesting deletion on the grounds that the page had been blanked by the creator. It wasn't actually blanked by the creator and if you want to get rid of a page on a subject you should nominate it for deletion, not blank it. I've restored it. Hut 8.5 06:46, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
  • Just adding that Sb008 and User:Hut 8.5 are using a huge understatement by calling this "odd". The Dutch soccer articles recently came under a massive attack from two contributors who look almost coordinated. They have been moving articles into the draft space, speedy deleting without discussion, have put unjustified tags on articles, not checking the links to the articles that contradict these tags, and have been mass redirecting articles without any discussion, while totally disregarding the relevant notability policies: WP:FOOTYN, WP:GNG, WP:ORG, etc. When one of them did eventually nominate an article for deletion, everyone immediately !voted against the AfD and !votes came in fast. Nominator wrote a whitewashing comment before these of everyone else and just closed as keep, so no one can comment, while previously such baseless nominations had been closed as speedy keep. It's really frustrating. A lot of great Wikipedians such as Sb008 have invested huge amounts of work in these articles and a few people remove the work of all others, mass delete, just tag as they please, and nobody can stop them because they take control over the discussions. gidonb (talk) 09:25, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

More generally, let me express my extreme frustration with the editorial process. Editorial rules were applied in a completely arbitrary way, and it appeared impossible to engage in meaningful discussion. Respectfully, this poses problems wrt to investment of time as a contributor, particularly for new contributors. (*I don't imagine I'll ever do it again.)

A notable song article which had coverages, but as it was a Hindi film song, had a discussion about its film. But this factor doesn't affects it's notability. I would like the page to be undeleted because i havent have time to translate it to english. And as I understand they deleted it because it was only in spanish, and I dont understand what is the problem whith that. I also already added reliable citations and artricles that support my page. So in that part I do not understand why they took it down. So please I put so much work in it just to see it being deleted, so just put it back up so i can fix it the way you want it to be. Unlawful Deletion of a Page

Hi, The page https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programs_renamed_by_Modi_Government has been deleted without any notice and has been redirected to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_government_schemes_in_India . Is there any possible way to get back that content? There are loads of information that have been deleted without notice. @Balogic:   Not done. "Unlawful"? "Without notice"? No, it was quite lawful, and there was plenty of notice and much discussion. There was a community discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Programs renamed by Modi Government in which the outcome was to redirect the page to List of government schemes in India. If you feel that the way it was closed was improper, you may ask for a review at Wikipedia:Deletion review. In any case, the content was not deleted, it's still all there in the history of the redirect page. Consider improving the List of government schemes in India instead; do not un-do the AFD decision without consulting the closing administrator. ~Anachronist (talk) 15:49, 2 August 2017 (UTC)

The page was deleted because it was promotional in nature which we think might be borderline. I will remove the content that might be promotional and keep it solely fact based including links from other awards pages. There are multiple external news reference links (BBC, telegraph, Sun) and Grapevinesocial as an events company that founded Wine Tasting Dating has more impressive references. The pages for UK dating awards and other pages which linked to this page now have no link on them. Many of the other companies in this sector have pages including Lovestruck.com as an example. Take it up with the deleting admin Jo-Jo Eumerus and if you are not satisfied, you can have the AFD decision reviewed at Wikipedia:Deletion review to determine if the AFD close was proper. However, I'll point out that Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alan Laney (2nd nomination) was unanimous in its consensus to delete, so seemed that closing as 'delete' was the proper action, and as such, it cannot be restored by request on this page.
Also, if you are Alan Laney, or associated with him, you have a conflict of interest that must be disclosed publicly. From your contributions, you are what we call a Wikipedia:Single purpose account because 100% of your contributions have been related to Alan Laney. I included what I was doing in my Talk Page as well as his. Then Randykitty said my photo (which was a free-use logo) was no good and deleted the whole page. I didn't even get a chance to have a discussion with either of them.
