Water Under the Bridge (song) edit

I've listed this article for peer review because it may be a featured article candidate sometime in the future (although the plan's not quite set in stone yet). In my view, it looks quite good already, so I'd like to open it up to some fresh pairs of eyes! Review comments related to any part of the article are appreciated and I'd be happy to do QPQs around weekends.

Aoba47 edit

  • I would archive the source link for File:Adele - Water Under the Bridge (Official Single Cover).png. It is not required for a FA, but I think it would be helpful and avoid any potential headaches with potential link rot and death.
  • This is very nitpick-y so apologies in advance, but do you think gospel choir would be more beneficial than choir? Gospel choir is only a redirect to gospel music, but I am curious if the choir link is too broad or general.
  • For the TikTok sentence in the lead, do you think it would be beneficial to briefly mention that it became a trend as a mashup with Megan Thee Stallion's "Body"? I know the lead is supposed to only cover basic information and not to get too caught up in the details, but I think this may be relevant here.
  • I would attribute the "finally gets going" quote in the prose.
  • Would a earworm link be beneficial in this "earwormy, hip-swiveler" quote?
  • I would link wall of sound to help readers unfamiliar with this concept.
  • I believe this "massive hit" quote can be paraphrased, as well as the "vague" quote. Apologies for the nitpick. The quotes overall are solid, but I wanted to point these two out as weaker than the others.
  • Would a link to mashup be beneficial? I am not sure if it should be to mashup (video) or mashup (music). I am leaning toward video as it is mashing up a song and a live performance as opposed to two prerecorded songs.

I hope these comments are helpful. If I am being completely honest, I do think I've heard this song before (or if I did, then I had forgotten). Once everything has been addressed, I will be more than happy to read the article more thoroughly. Best of luck with the peer review and the FAC (if you pursue that path). I do have a quick question though. Do you have any plans for projects after this one and your current FAC? Apologies for being intrusive. I was just curious. Thanks a lot for the review! One of my future projects was going to be Sour but I'll have to see what to do with the premature GAN some user has put up for it first. I guess it might make sense to add a few more FAs to 30 and try to push it to being a featured topic, I suppose. I would love to know your future plans after The Random Years as well if you've thought of anything.--NØ 05:12, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your response and for addressing everything. I am sorry to hear about the situation with Sour, and although I can understand your frustration, I am sure you will be able to work it out in the future and really let that article shine. This would sound totally cliché, but I think we all should work on projects that genuinely interest us, and if that is not 30 that is completely okay. I honestly do not have any future plans. I had a few false starts with projects, but I decided to wait until The Random Years FAC is completed. It looks like it is heading toward promotion, but there is still the traditional two-to-three period to allow as many reviewers as possible to participate. I do greatly appreciate your work on music articles and I look forward to seeing what you work on next! Aoba47 (talk) 17:10, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I do understand why coords have their specific waiting periods before promoting an FAC, although I'd say TRY is looking like a surefire success! If I may make a recommendation, have you heard "Angels like You"? It's a really nice Miley Cyrus song in a similar vein to "Inspired". I think you may like it, in case you're looking for a song article to work on at some point. And thank you so much for the kind words.--NØ 17:39, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the suggestions! I keep meaning to listen to all of Plastic Hearts so this could be a great inspiration to finally do that. I love the title track and I am sure I will enjoy the rest of the album. I am very appreciative of all the people that have helped with TRY and other FACs in the past. I am very grateful for them.
