Cricket World Cup edit

I just decided to know that does article really deserve for featured articles? The article looks concise enough. The article is completed upto date. The article is well written and shows neutrality. The article does not change significantly from day to day. I ensure that all issues concerning the factual accuracy has been properly addressed. I would appreciate any help provided in improving this article and hopefully lead to a FA status. Thanks -- Shyam (T/C) 19:17, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My comments:
  1. The lead is too short, it needs to be 2-5 paragraphs long, summarising everything in the article. See WP:LEAD.
  2. Perhaps define "test nation" in paraenthesis somewhere, I don't know what it means from the article (despite the link). It would help the article stand alone.
  3. There seems to be very little content - 5 paragraphs of prose?
  4. A related point is the over-reliance on tables. Although probably totally necessary, they need to be accopmpanied by lots of explaining prose.
  5. There are no references. If your goal is FA, you need to cite your sources.
  6. The "West Indies 2007" section is really messsy and needs a good tidy up and prosification.
