- The lead seems a little short for the article; I think a few more details could be added.
with a degree in finance and credit in the same year
: I don't understand what "in the same year" is referring to.- It appears he graduated in 1999, but that's not clear (unless that's what "in the same year" is meant to indicate). I think if it's clearer that that's when he graduated you can just cut "After his graduation" in the following sentence.
- In the political career section, the mentions of Onuguu-Progress are not in chronological order, which is not ideal. The sentences from "The party first stood candidates..." to the "Onuguu-Progress" section are set after 2012, but the next section starts with 2012.
- Any particular reason why his two brothers are mentioned in the infobox? Infoboxes summarize important information; this seems peripheral.
Other than that this seems in decent shape, if not very detailed, no doubt because of a lack of sources. I have no idea whether the sources chosen are reliable, or if there's more coverage available; those questions might come up at GAN. Are there more Kyrgyz sources that could be used? - Thanks for your comments, Mike Christie. As for Kyrgyz sources, it's a damn shame I don't actually speak any Kyrgyz, I only know Russian, which means I have had to rely on just Russian+English sources. The GTranslate's natural learning system needs to make a few more loops around Kyrgyz-language texts before it becomes reliable, a Kyrgyz-English translation comes out with a whole load of gibberish at the moment. That's unfortunate.
- As for reliability of sources, there have been a few comments made before about some sources used here. The Gezitter.org I asked about here, sadly I got no response after my second reply. It appears to be reliable, as it does appear to have an editorial team and whatnot. The centrasia.ru source also was questioned at at this DYK nom, you can see my thoughts about it there. I'll get round to sorting out those problems above as well, and thanks again, didn't expect such a quick reply. !dave 08:30, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- I didn't realize Google wasn't yet up to translating Kyrgyz; can't say I'm too surprised. I think that could be an issue at GAN; GA doesn't require comprehensive coverage, but it does require broad coverage, and it would be hard to know if this is broad or not without looking at Kyrgyz sources. For someone this prominent in Kyrgyzstan there should be more local material available, I would think. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 11:13, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, this was the problem that I was thinking about. Currently the article is a bit short for a GA; now, there's no length requirement, but it can be a decider as to if one has written enough about the subject. We have a few people at hand who know Russian on enwiki, but I don't know anyone who knows Kyrgyz. So I'd love to 'phone a friend', but I don't know where to get one :)... There's also clearly print media available that unfortunately doesn't appear online (although, that Gezitter website does appear to provide Russian translations of such media). !dave 10:09, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
