Comments:

  • This article is much too small for the tallest mountains in the world! — Dmcdevit 00:51, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)
  • This isn't a truly "India" topic, I feel that it can be kept on the back burner for sometime. I have two images of the Himalayas that can be added. Nichalp 18:14, Feb 1, 2005 (UTC)
  • I suppose you are right. But I'm pretty sure this COTW would have more expertise than any others on the topic (except maybe China?). Not being a native, I'm not sure, but I would assume also that it has a substantial impact on the culture/national identity of the region if not India itself. I welcome enlightenment on the subject. --Dmcdevit 03:42, 2 Feb 2005 (UTC)
  • While I agree that the Himalayas are not an exclusively Indian topic, the Indian climate is largely because of the Himalayas' height and location (it blocks Arctic winds from the north and precipitates the monsoon winds on its south, among other things). We could bring that aspect out in this article. -- Brhaspati 01:39, 2005 Feb 5 (UTC)
