Comments

• Right now the article, Chennai suburban railway is a collection of links. I would like to see it improve in the lines of London Underground and become a featured article. We should do the same with Delhi Metro and Calcutta Metro.
  • I would prefer Delhi Metro as the information is more easily available; as it is widely perceived to be successful; as it is the latest among the metros in India and comparable to the best in the world and finally, as an article is available about E. Sreedharan. Once we work on Delhi Metro we can work on Chennai suburban railway and Calcutta Metro more easily due to the experience gained. --Gurubrahma 15:31, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

I agree with Gurubrahma. However, I think none of these MRTS's have such history and culture associated with them as London Underground, New York City Subway or Paris Metro have, and I it might be difficult to make comparable articles for them for now. • We might be able to achieve something like this if we get enough information: Mass Rapid Transit (Singapore). I am on a yahoogroup called delhimetro where they keep discussing all the jargon concerning the metro, and many of them have shared several photos they took themselves. They are quite knowledgeable and enthusiastic about it, and my guess is that they will respond favorably towards contributing to this article. deeptrivia (talk) 04:31, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
