About the event edit

Want to help bridge the gender gap on Wikipedia? Join us for the ultimate Anti-Valentine’s Day! We need your help to create great Wikipedia articles about notable women from East Dunbartonshire. We’ll be creating Wikipedia pages from scratch, adding reliable citations from the extensive Local Studies collections.

No previous editing experience is needed as full training will be provided.

  • 11:15 - 11:40 - Log in, Create your User Page
  • 11:40 - 11:55 - Examples of Good Wikipedia pages & When Things Go Wrong
  • 11:55 - 12:05 - Assign pages for editing / creation
  • 12:05 - 12:30 - Research
  • 12:30 - 13:25 - Edit!
  • 13:25 - 13:30 - What next?
