QRPedia Brugherio edit

WiBrugherio plans to create a interactive travel guide of the city, connecting Wikipedia entries with the main buildings and monuments in the city.

This connection will be made using the type of QR codes called QRpedia.

QRpedia codes placed on explanatory signs of monuments can indeed be scanned with a smartphone or other mobile device, allowing tourists to view Wikipedia pages in their language.

The codes generated with QRpedia have an interesting peculiarity: depending on the language setting on the user's device, in fact lead to the Wikipedia page in that language.

Wikivoyage edit

In 2015 Brugherio public library has forwarded the project Brugherio storica: una mappa giovane (Historical Brugherio: a young map), which obtained the financing of Lombardy Region.

It is planned that the city's middle school students, after a period of training by Wikimedia Italia, take part in the enrichment of Wikivoyage and OpenStreetMap.

In the project joined some classes of Middle School John and Robert Kennedy. The training course at the school started December 3, 2015 and is led by Yiyi.
