Original – Map of the Battle of the Somme, considered one of the deadliest in history and probably the best-known battle of the First World War.

Reason: Another map to SVG conversion. Good source, straightforward EV, has a certain aesthetic quality as well. SVG format, so no size issues. I couldn't help this really being one of those maps where you can see only the general characteristics in thumbnail - the front lines are as bold as I thought possible without dominating the zoomed in version. Previous nomination (here) received two supports (plus me) and no opposes. Some changes were considered but I didn't feel anything needed to be changed.
